Raiders coach Ricky Stuart tried not to single out any one player for praise following his
side's thumping win over the Broncos
on Saturday night, but when pressed he couldn't help himself.
That off-season the late bloomer signed a three-year deal with the Raiders, inked last January, and Hosking burst out of the blocks at Canberra before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury last April.
Stuart was asked about his most versatile player, Zac Hosking, who started the game on an edge before shifting to lock and then into the front row.
Hosking, 28, made his debut at the Broncos in 2022 before moving to the Panthers and was devastated to be overlooked for the 2023 grand final.

The Canberra Raiders have come out on top with a solid 32-22 victory over the Brisbane Broncos in their first home game of the season at GIO Stadium, sending a clear message to their opponents.
Facing a tough challenge in the opening six minutes, the Raiders managed to weather the storm and showcase their strong defense, causing the Broncos to make their first error of the game.
With some impressive goal-line stands, the Raiders were able to gain momentum and launch a counterattack.
A well-timed pass from Jamal Fogarty found debutant Matty Nicholson bursting through the Broncos' defense to score the first try of the match, with Fogarty converting to put the Raiders ahead 6-0.
