Cowboys ready to wrangle Sharks in Round 2

cowboys.com.au are reporting that the Cowboys team list for Round 2 against the Sharks has been announced.
"The Airlie Beach product returned to North Queensland for 2025 after stints in Canberra and the UK and immediately impressed Cowboys coaching staff with his intensity at training," a team spokesperson said.
"O'Donnell registered four NRL appearances for the Raiders in 2020 before departing for England where he starred in a three-season stint for Leigh," the spokesperson continued.
The 26-year-old has been named to start in the second row, bringing a new level of grit and determination to the team.

The Brisbane Broncos are gearing up for their round 2 clash against the Raiders in the nation's capital, with Head Coach Michael Maguire sticking with the same starting lineup that secured a dominant victory over the Roosters in Round 1.
"Adam Reynolds will once again lead out the same group of lads that got the job done last week," Maguire commented.
The only changes come on the interchange, with Jock Madden getting the nod and Ben Te Kura missing out on a spot in the 22-man squad.
The team will continue their preparations in Brisbane before heading to Canberra for the showdown, training at Red Hill before jetting off on Friday afternoon.

Queensland State of Origin forward Jeremiah Nanai has been dropped by North Queensland after the Cowboys' ugly start to the 2025 season.
Nanai had a night to forget in his side's 42-12 loss to Manly to open round one, with the 22-year-old clocking up more missed tackles (four) than runs (three).
The backrower's spot has been taken by former Canberra forward Kai O'Donnell, who arrived in Townsville over the off-season following an impressive three-year stint with Super League side Leigh.
