The Canberra Raiders' decision to rest co-captain Jarrod Croker so he'll play his 300^th NRL game at home has divided opinion.

Croker has fought his way back from career-threatening shoulder and knee injuries to get back into the side this season, and he's led the Green Machine to six wins and one loss since his return.

He was set to play his 300^th against the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown on Friday, but he'll now have to wait until they host the New Zealand Warriors at Canberra Stadium on June 9.

Ricky Stuart insists he is not disrespecting the Wests Tigers by resting Jarrod Croker next week so the Canberra captain can play his 300th NRL game in front of the Raiders' home crowd.

The Raiders' 33-26 defeat of South Sydney on Saturday night marked Croker's 299th first-grade game and the veteran centre had been set to become the 48th player to reach 300 games when the Raiders meet the Tigers next Friday.
