    Canberra Raiders great Josh Papali'i looks set to end a three-year retirement to make a shock State of Origin return.

    The NRL drums have been beating for Queensland coach Billy Slater to lure Papali'i back into the Maroons' fold and it looks set to happen.

    He's one of three Raiders in the Origin mix, with Hudson Young keeping his spot in the NSW Blues side for the Origin decider in Sydney Wednesday week.

    Canberra Raiders young gun Hudson Young has kept his NSW Blues spot, despite his battle with osteitis pubis.

    Blues coach Laurie Daley has kept faith with the Raiders' boom backrower, who had a cortisone injection last week.

    That injection kept him out of the Raiders' 22-18 win over Newcastle, but it won't keep him out of Origin III.

    Yes? No? Maybe? Queensland coach Billy Slater has dodged questions over whether he'll produce one of the biggest shocks in State of Origin history by luring Raiders great Josh Papali'i out of retirement for game three.

    Despite retiring from representative football three years ago, "Papa" has been linked with a return to the Maroons for the series decider in Sydney on Wednesday week.

    Slater will name his Origin III team on Monday morning, with Papali'i one of two Raiders middle forwards in the mix.
