  • Road warriors: How the Raiders have defied gruelling travel schedule

    David Polkinghorne

The Canberra Raiders aim for their seventh away win despite the toughest travel schedule in the NRL.

The travel was meant to break them. But it's only made the Green Machine stronger.

Despite having the toughest travel schedule in the NRL - with daylight a distant second - the Canberra Raiders are aiming for their seventh straight away win when they travel to Newcastle to face the Knights on Friday.

Mystery over Galvin’s bench role as Bulldogs coach hints at ‘Plan A, B... and C’: Early Mail

Cameron Ciraldo is considering multiple strategies for Lachlan Galvin's role against the Panthers.

    Fox League

Cameron Ciraldo hasn't given up too much about Lachlan Galvin's role in Thursday's game against the Panthers, but said there are multiple plans on how he can use the former Tigers playmaker.

"He's there as a bit of insurance for our backs, and if an opportunity arises somewhere else, he's been training in a number of positions.

While there may be plenty of external noise surrounding Galvin's role, Ciraldo is more than happy to have the headache of trying to figure out how to fit him in along with Toby Sexton, Reed Mahoney and Bailey Hayward.

"I've probably got plan A, plan B and plan C again," Ciraldo said when asked how he'd use Galvin this week.

And Canberra's reaping the rewards with Horsburgh enjoying a strong start to the NRL season - a start that should've been rewarded with a return to the State of Origin ranks with Queensland.
