    Savelio Tamale will play again this season, provided the surgeon doesn't find any unwelcome surprises during the boom Canberra Raiders rookie's surgery on Tuesday.

    In good news for the 20-year-old, he's only expected to miss the original prognosis of 10 to 12 weeks - meaning he should be back for the Green Machine this year.

    Tamale dislocated his kneecap in the first half of the Raiders' emphatic 36-12 victory over the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 14.
