    So you can only imagine how he feels after giving his actual son, Jed, the chance to become Raider #404 against Wests Tigers at Campbelltown on Friday.

    Jed Stuart makes his NRL debut for Canberra Raiders, replacing an injured player, proud of his achievement.

    It hasn't been an "easy ride" for Jed Stuart to make his NRL debut with the Canberra Raiders, where his father, Ricky, is the coach.

    Jed, Raider #404, has been named on the wing to take on the Wests Tigers this Friday 20 June, replacing the injured Savelio Tamale.

    It comes 37 years after his father made his first appearance for the Raiders.

    Ricky told CD at a press conference on Thursday as a father - rather than as a coach - he was proud of his son.
