Seibold sees Inglis in Trbojevic, motivates Manly, Fogarty likely to replace Cherry-Evans, Canberra can't match offer.

    The Canberra Times

Anthony Seibold is seeing shades of NRL champion Greg Inglis in Tom Trbojevic as the fullback prepares to make a much-needed return against Penrith.

Fighting to inspire Manly out of their funk, coach Seibold says he's had little time to consider Jamal Fogarty's probable arrival as Daly Cherry-Evans' replacement at halfback.

Fogarty's current club Canberra conceded on Thursday they are unable to match the Sea Eagles' offer of what is believed to be a three-year, $2.1 million contract beginning next season.

St George Illawarra Dragons coach Shane Flanagan, and his Canberra Raiders counterpart Ricky Stuart, have both teed off at player agents in the wake of recent contract calls.

While neither move is currently confirmed by new clubs, the Canterbury Bulldogs have reportedly snared talented youngster Finau Latu from the Dragons, while the Manly Sea Eagles are understood to have signed Jamal Fogarty on a three-year deal from the Raiders.

"I really hope the offer of $700,000 over three years is real," Stuart told the publication.

Ricky Stuart reunites with former NRL prop Adrian Morley to mentor Canberra Raiders' English recruits.

    The Canberra Times

Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart welcomed an old mate to the capital last weekend in a low-key reunion that also gave the Green Machine's English recruits a valuable new mentor.

Adrian Morley was a legendary NRL prop in the 2000s playing for the Sydney Roosters under Stuart. The pair triumphed in the 2002 grand final when the Tri Colours defeated the Warriors, and Morley also played in two subsequent season-deciders that the Roosters lost.

Morley and Stuart have maintained their friendship over the years and it could be argued the former front-rower was the Canberra coach's original inspiration for his ongoing affinity for English players.
