    Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty is reportedly set to sign with the Sea Eagles, with negotiations between the club and his management to ramp up after Round 6.

    The Sea Eagles are reportedly set to offer the 31-year-old a two-year deal to take over the No.7 jersey from departing veteran Daly Cherry-Evans.

    Fogarty is now set to remain in the nation's capital until the season's end, however Raiders bosses don't want to stop him from signing a longer contract if it becomes available.

    Canberra Raiders may not retain Jamal Fogarty, giving Manly a chance to sign him soon.

    Manly are one step closer to landing Jamal Fogarty as their Daly Cherry-Evans replacement, with Canberra unlikely to block the halfback's move.

    The Raiders have until the end of this weekend to take up an option in Fogarty's contract to extend him until the end of 2026.

    But that now appears unlikely to happen, leaving the 31-year-old as a free agent from Monday and able to consider a two-year deal from the Sea Eagles.
