    The Canberra Raiders captain has opened up on how he overcame a pokies addiction at the start of his NRL career.

    Tapine, who returns from a two-week suspension to face the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday, said overcoming his gambling problem was the "harshest lesson" he's had to learn during his NRL career.
