    LAS VEGAS: It's perhaps the most talked about challenge for club football departments when the NRL gives them a ticket to Sin City: how do we do this and get home in one piece?

    The Vegas strip is a dizzying cocktail of booze, gambling, showgirls and any number of booby traps for young men (and women) to fall into.

    Big money is spent on security and months goes into detailed planning in an effort to keep players away from trouble but in a place like Vegas trouble tends to come knocking one way or another.

    Raiders lock in Vegas NFL star to blow viking horn

    Tyler Manoa will blow Canberra Raiders' viking horn in Las Vegas for season opener against Warriors.

    The Canberra Raiders have finally found someone to blow their custom-made viking horn in Las Vegas, after UFC Dana White knocked-back their invitation earlier in the week.

    Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Tyler Manoa will blow the horn for Canberra's season opener against the Warriors at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday (Las Vegas time).

    Raiders chief executive Don Furner said the club were eager to get a player from the club that's Canberra's namesake.

    Ricky Stuart will unleash Queensland's next Harry Grant in Las Vegas when the final signing of one of the game's greatest talent spotters makes his NRL debut.

    Owen Pattie will realise a dream first grade initiation in Sunday's US season-opener extravaganza against the Warriors at Allegiant Stadium.

    The pint-sized hooker from country Queensland is a product of the same school - St Brendan's College in Yeppoon - as Maroons and Storm star Grant.
