    Las Vegas: Jamal Fogarty admits the late-night brawl was a distraction when it first broke, but the Canberra Raiders halfback says they've put it behind them and the focus is squarely on the New Zealand Warriors.

    Fogarty said it was "perfect" that Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies had owned their mistake - a drunken wrestle in the hotel lift after a night out.

    The NRL integrity unit is investigating the incident, which happened on the Raiders' first night in Las Vegas, but there won't be any sanctions until they return home from the game at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday.

    Las Vegas: The lack of a new stadium is going to make life difficult for Canberra teams to entertain modern fans - especially after one of them experiences the razzle-dazzle at a $3 billion stadium.

    Canberra Raiders chief executive Don Furner said Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium would enable them to do things like a flashy lights show that's simply commonplace in venues like Sin City.

    That's simply not possible for their usual home games in the capital.

    One of the NRL's most dedicated fans, Simon Tayoun - also known as the Canberra Raiders' drummer - flew to Las Vegas this week after learning local authorities had given him their blessing to watch the game with his giant drum and Viking costume inside Allegiant Stadium.

    While Raiders players Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies tried to bang each other with an inflatable baseball bat during a hotel skirmish, Tayoun will be doing his best to beat his precious drum, sure to make the players and travelling Green Machine fans feel...
