Jamal Fogarty reveals Raiders' surprising turnaround, nearing minor premiership after last season's struggles.

Jamal Fogarty has admitted even those within the four walls at the Raiders have been surprised by just how quickly they have turned things around this season.

After missing the finals last season, many were writing off Canberra before a ball was kicked in 2025 and some were even pitting them at the bottom of the NRL ladder.

But in a stunning turnaround, the Raiders are closing in on their first minor premiership in more than three decades with just two rounds of the regular season remaining.

Ethan Strange and Kaeo Weekes were the match-winners in a blockbuster Mudgee fixture after combining for the Raiders in the "most remarkable finish to a golden point game".

With the score 16-16 in golden point, Nathan Cleary had a 35 metre attempt at a field goal but hit the post.

The ball then fell to Jed Stuart with Izack Tago and Liam Martin missing their tackle on him. He fled five metres from the line and linked up with Strange.
