    Seibold flags positional switch as Manly lock up veteran on multi-year extension: Transfer Centre

    Manly have boosted their outside back stocks by locking up centre Brad Parker with a contract extension through until the end of the 2025 season.

    Parker made his NRL debut for Manly against the Warriors in Perth in 2016. He has since gone to score 29 tries in 117 games.

    "Proud local junior Brad Parker is on his way to reaching 10 years at his beloved Manly Warringah Sea Eagles after signing a new contract," the club said in a statement.

    A Manly Christian Brothers junior who rose through the Sea Eagles Pathways, Parker has signed on for two more years until the end of 2025.

    It's fair to say Sam Williams wasn't the quickest around the park on Sunday as he captain-coached the Queanbeyan Kangaroos to the Canberra Raiders Cup premiership, but he appeared to have all the time in the world as he played a major role in guiding his side to a 34-6 victory over the Tuggeranong Bushrangers at Seiffert Oval.

    The Kangaroos only lost two games in the lead-up to the grand final, both to the Bushrangers. The most recent loss was 18-13 in the major semi, two weeks before the decider.

    On the field, Williams, who played 83 NRL games in two stints with the Raiders and a season with the Dragons, provided his younger teammates with a sense of calmness. It belied the pressure...

    In a massive boost for the Canberra Raiders, young gun Sebastian Kris could be available for round one.

    Similar to Sydney Roosters enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Kris was set to be named in the New Zealand Pacific Championships squad before he copped a mammoth five-game suspension for a spear tackle in the final round.

    That meant if the Kiwis make the final of the end-of-season championships in Australia and New Zealand then Kris could have three games wiped off his ban.
