After rumours emerged that Matt Frawley could find himself moving away from Canberra, the Raiders playmaker has reportedly secured a deal with another club.

Frawley, who has previous experience playing in the Super League, is set to return to the overseas rugby league competition next season after a stint playing under Ricky Stuart with the Canberra Raiders.

Off-contract at the end of 2023, Leeds Live has reported that the playmaker has secured a deal with the Leeds Rhinos, and it is understood that the contract has been completed. It is currently unknown what type of deal and how long he will be at Leeds.

But a post-season halves dilemma is brewing after Frawley confirmed his departure from the club, leaving Canberra with just one recognised NRL half for the 2024 campaign.

Gerulaitis failed to defeat Jimmy Connors for six years and 16 matches on the professional tennis circuit between 1974 and 1980 before recording a win.

"And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row!" Gerulaitis famously said after his win.

Brisbane's record is not as dire as Gerulaitis', but the Storm have beaten Brisbane 14 times in a row.
