Less Grant means more tries as Storm thrash Raiders after star hooker starts on bench

Maybe less Harry Grant means more tries for the Melbourne Storm after a decision to start the Origin hooker on the bench paid off in a big way in their win over Canberra Raiders at AAMI Park on Sunday.
The Storm have been away for almost two months as the Women's World Cup took over the stadium they've made their home, but they made it a home-coming to remember with a 48-2 victory that keeps them in a good position to claim fourth spot with three rounds to go.
The Storm started with some surprises, with Grant on the bench and utility Bronson Garlick starting in an attempt to give Grant a little rest after a hectic season.

Storm flog Raiders to end home losing streak in emphatic fashion

Forget about a top-four finish, the Canberra Raiders are now fighting to hold onto their spot in the top eight.
Not even a strong recent record in Melbourne against the Storm, winning their previous five there, could help the Green Machine against a rampant home side.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart said that record would only make it harder in the Victorian capital and he was right.

Two moments of Jordan Rapana madness have been slammed by pundits after the Raiders fullback escaped punishment on Sunday afternoon.
It didn't look like a trip, it was a trip, Parker said upon watching the replay.
The first came in the lead-up to Reimis Smith's try, with Rapana throwing hit foot out in a clear attempt to trip the Storm winger according to Corey Parker.
Smith immediately pointed to his foot after scoring, indicating to referee Grant Atkins he had been struck by the Raiders fullback's foot.
