While Sunday's loss to Canberra came with a devastating record deficit for the Broncos, the Tigers took another step towards a maiden NRLW finals appearance.

It was cold and wet at GIO Stadium, but the Raiders brought the heat with the coup of the season, completely outplaying the visitors and scoring five tries to one.

The Broncos no longer hold the top spot on the NRLW ladder after the reigning premiers were left stunned in the nation's capital against a roaring Raiders outfit.

A trip back to the sunshine state will be one of great reflection for Scott Prince's group after their 15-game winning streak ended due to a 28-4 loss in Canberra.

The wet conditions worked in the favour of the host side, who brushed off the early attacking threats posed by the Broncos to turn the game on its head.
