Ricky Stuart hopes to revitalize the Raiders against Newcastle, with Josh Papali'i returning and changes to the squad.

Josh Papali'i is the only change to the 17, returning from a one-week suspension, with Joe Roddy dropping out of the side.
Young fullback Chevy Stewart and centre Matt Timoko have both come into the 19, with Daine Laurie and Jed Stuart dropping to an extended bench.
Stuart's looking to give guys like Laurie and Jed Stuart minutes in NSW Cup after spending plenty of time unused on the bench in recent weeks.

The Raiders lost to the Jets 34-26 despite a strong comeback effort at GIO Stadium.

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup team went down to the Newtown Jets 34-26 on Sunday after a massive comeback effort.
The Raiders were geared up to face the Newtown Jets at GIO Stadium Canberra as they looked to win their first game of the season. Both teams were ready to bounce back from narrow losses last week in an exciting match up.

The Raiders kicked off the NSW Cup game at 1:45pm following a massive 42-20 win for Raiders Jersey Flegg squad against the Sharks.
Both teams were off to an impressive start as the Raiders worked to defend their line early with Ethan Alaia getting under the ball to save a try in the in goal.

Canberra Raiders' Jersey Flegg Cup faces Cronulla Sharks Sunday; both teams are looking to improve standings.

The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup squads will be kicking off a triple header of matches this Sunday at GIO Stadium Canberra.

Kicking off the day at 11:45 am is the Jersey Flegg Cup with the Canberra Raiders facing the Cronulla Sharks.

The Raiders are currently sitting 10th on the ladder after their tight 30-26 loss against the Bulldogs and are looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses.
For the away side, the Sharks are currently sitting seventh after their strong win 22-12 win against the Storm.
