Simi Sasagi prioritizes the Canberra Raiders, opting for shoulder surgery over the World Cup, aiming for NRL readiness by 2027 season's start.
If there was ever any doubt Simi Sasagi was fully committed to the Canberra Raiders, there isn't any more.
Sasagi has given up his World Cup dream to be ready for the Green Machine's 2027 season.
The 25-year-old had surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday, ruling him out of the Rugby League World Cup, which begins in five weeks on October 15.
He had a labrum tear repaired and is expected to be ready for round one of next year's NRL campaign.
