'A bit left field': Raiders get creative, turn to rival code to help struggling winger
The Raiders are helping winger Savelio Tamale improve by having AFL star Tom Green assist with catching techniques.

The Canberra Raiders coaching staff have turned to a rival code to help struggling winger Savelio Tamale.
The youngster was dropped to NSW Cup this weekend to try and regain some confidence after a few shaky performances in the NRL, especially when needed to defuse bombs.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and the rest of the squad are confident Tamale can get back to his best soon, and time away from the NRL spotlight will help that mission.
But the club has also turned to Raiders supporter and GWS Giants star Tom Green to provide some additional assistance by working one-on-one with Tamale on catching - or marks as they'd be known in the AFL.

New South Wales backrowers Liam Martin and Hudson Young don't like to point fingers, which is why they were able to stand so tall in the Blues win in the decider on Wednesday night.
But as the dust settled on the Lang Park ambush, they made one exception, and that's when it came to deciding which of them is madder.
"Huddo says me, I say it's Huddo. We'll blame each other, it's the old Spider-Man meme where they're pointing at each other," said Martin.
"I love running out with Huddy, he's a great fella and he's like me, he just competes.

Up-ending our prediction after Game 2, the normally Brisbane-based federal Sports Minister was not in NRL chair Peter V'landys' VIP suite for the showdown of the pinnacle of rugby league: State of Origin.
A nationwide cock-up by Telstra, a stakeholder in Minister Wells' other portfolio, Communications, had her breaking leave on Wednesday to fly to Canberra - far away from Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium.
It can be a cruel world, although this week we would rather be Wells than any executive at Telstra. Little wonder the executive class of the NRL's telco sponsor kept well away from V'landys' suite on Wednesday night.
With chief financial officer Michael Ackland running the joint, and CEO Vicki Brady finishing the last few days of her holiday, the telco obviously couldn't spare the bodies.

Blues, Maroons finalise teams for Origin showdown
NSW and Queensland face off unchanged in the State of Origin decider, with NSW seeking redemption after a prior loss, while Queensland aims to avoid consecutive defeats.

The teams have been finalised for the State of Origin decider with NSW and Queensland both taking unchanged line-ups into Suncorp Stadium.
NSW are hoping to atone from a 44-24 thrashing in Origin II and avoid losing the series after leading 1-0 for the second year running.
Defeat for the Maroons would mean they will become the first Queensland team to lose consecutive game-three deciders in Brisbane, having fallen in Origin III of 2024.
In total, NSW have won three of 13 deciders played at Suncorp Stadium - 1994, 2005 and 2024 - with current coach Laurie Daley captaining the Blues to the first of those.
