Penrith edge Manly but good first start for Joey Walsh
Penrith defeated Manly 18-16, ending their winning streak, despite a strong performance from debutant Joey Walsh and a promising showing from the Sea Eagles.

Penrith have spoiled Joey Walsh's party and ended Kieran Foran's unbeaten start to life as Manly coach with a tight 18-16 win at CommBank Stadium.
But the narrow loss to the premiership favourites should do little to discourage the Sea Eagles amid their resurgence.
Jamal Fogarty's groin injury paved the way for Foran to hand a second NRL cap to the man considered Manly's best halves prospect in a generation, who made a cameo from the bench late last year.

'Would have laughed at me': Ricky's 'not ready' admission amid Raiders injury crisis
Ricky Stuart praised his leaders after the Raiders' 28-12 victory over the Titans, acknowledging some players' NRL readiness challenges.

Ricky Stuart admitted some of his players are not ready for NRL, but praised his leaders for carrying the load after his side's impressive victory over the Titans in Round 9.
Stuart challenged his players to come up with individual performances amid an injury crisis to turn around their slow start to the season and they answered in a 28-12 victory over the Titans.
The Raiders have struggled with errors and discipline this season, but they put in their first 80 minute performance of the year to dominate the Titans.
"I just visualised all week that we just had to play footy," Stuart said.
"It wasn't about what position you were playing in. It wasn't going to be pretty.

The Titans and Raiders kick off a huge Saturday of action with both sides looking to find some momentum after a sluggish start to the season.
Last year's minor premiers Canberra have won just three games but they arrive on the Gold Coast with a 20-13 overall record against the Titans and wins in the past six matches between the two sides.
From there it's off to CommBank Stadium for a twilight showdown between the high-flying Warriors and the injury-hit Eels, who came back to earth with a bang at Brookie last Sunday after stunning the Bulldogs at home a week earlier.

Brandon Smith faces another month out due to a calf injury sustained during the Rabbitohs' win over the Storm.

Brandon Smith's horror run with injuries continues, with a timeline being set on his calf injury in South Sydney Rabbitohs' win against the Melbourne Storm on Anzac Day last week.
Smith was strong in his two performances against the Raiders and the Dragons in his return fortnight after coming back from another preseason calf injury.
Although ESPN is reporting that he will miss a month on the sidelines after coming off the field prematurely last Saturday.
It is the same calf that kept him out of action for multiple weeks in the preseason, with coach Wayne Bennett giving an update on the Kiwi international.
