Few could have predicted that when the Rabbitohs travelled to AAMI Park on Anzac Day that they would be 11 spots higher on the ladder than a Storm side that has slumped to five consecutive losses.
Wayne Bennett's side is coming off a comprehensive win over the Dragons that took their record to 4-2 and lifted them to fourth on the ladder.
The Storm, meanwhile, are languishing in 15th spot after a 26-22 loss to the Raiders marked the first time since 2012 that they had lost five straight.

Christmas has come early for Logan City sport lovers.
A major new rivalry launches this Thursday when Marsden State High host Mabel Park in the inaugural Logan Cup gala day.
Involving neighbouring schools Marsden (Waterford) and Mabel Park (Slacks Creek) and showcasing student athletes across five sports, the first-of-its-kind Logan Cup pits two of the city's largest sporting schools against each other in a showdown celebrating talent, pride and community spirit.
Staged at Marsden's campus off Moffat Road and featuring athletes from Year 7-12 across rugby league, football, netball, basketball and volleyball, the school sporting bonanza will crown Logan's champions after a 4pm opens league clash rounds out the day.
One thing is certain: those in attendance will be watching future sporting stars, in a region renowned for producing elite talent. Think Maroons greats Cameron Smith and Josh Papalii.

Blues' No. 6 race heats up as several Origin bolters named as potential selection shockers
Mitch Moses is favored for the Blues' No. 6 jersey, but competition is strong as he aims for selection.

Eels star Mitch Moses is the "favourite" to win the Blues' No. 6 jersey for Origin Game 1 but there's a Raiders young gun breathing down his neck.
Moses played in Game 1 last year, starring in a Blues win but missed the next two games (both losses) through injury.
The Eels skipper has had a solid enough start to the season even though he has mixed his form.
The Daily Telegraph's Dean Ritchie believes Moses will be picked to partner Nathan Cleary in the halves but isn't a sure thing.
