Raiders v Roosters: Laurie's Mr Fix-it; Marky Mark on track

Raiders aim for a fourth home win against Roosters, boosted by last week's victory and confidence from Origin players.

The Raiders line up for a fourth game in a row on home soil and can again count on fanatical support from the Green Machine faithful as they look to build on last Sunday's win over the Cowboys.

Last year's minor premiers looked to be on a roll when they won four on the bounce between Round 6-9 but losses to the Panthers and Dolphins in Canberra set them on their heels.

With Ethan Strange and Hudson Young taking great confidence out of the Blues' great escape in Origin, the Raiders looked a formidable force in Round 13 and they will look to run the Roosters ragged on Friday night.

  • Eels team list clouds Moses' hopes of Origin return

Mitchell Moses is sidelined with a hamstring injury, raising doubts about his return for NSW's Origin II, leaving Laurie Daley with a tough decision.

    The Canberra Times

Laurie Daley is facing a crunch call over the make-up of his NSW spine with Mitchell Moses still sidelined with the hamstring injury that ruled him out of the State of Origin series opener.

Moses will not play a game before Daley names his squad for Origin II after he was left off the Parramatta's team list for their King's Birthday clash with Canterbury on Monday.

Eels playmaker Moses was cruelly ruled out of the NSW's 22-20 win over Queensland in Sydney with a minor hamstring strain he picked up at the Blues' penultimate training session.

Daley values Moses' long kicking game and has said - if fit - the Parramatta captain would be in his squad for game two in Melbourne on June 17.

Cowboys v Dolphins: Cotter back on deck; Farnworth, Nikorima return

Cowboys aim to improve defense against Dolphins after last week's loss, with Cotter, Farnworth, and Nikorima returning to play.

    NRL.com

North Queensland hope a return home will provide the foundation for a return to form when they host the high-flying Dolphins on Saturday evening.

The Cowboys suffered a disappointing loss to the Raiders in Canberra last Sunday and coach Todd Payten will be eager to see an improvement in their defensive resolve.

That area of the game will take on an even greater focus against a Dolphins side that has piled on the points in recent weeks.
