The devastated Origin star playing with a heavy heart for Hunter Valley bus crash victims

NSW back-rower Hudson Young has paid tribute to the victims of the Hunter Valley bus tragedy - which happened just minutes from where he grew up - as he prepares to play his second State of Origin match with the heaviest of hearts.

Young, who kept his spot in Brad Fittler's team for game two at Suncorp Stadium, has spoken of his devastation about the accident, which killed 10 people and left more than a dozen more in hospital when the bus they were travelling in rolled over after a wedding.

The accident occurred at Greta, the town where Young grew up before making his mark in the NRL at the Canberra Raiders.
