Canberra's new stadium proposal, supported by the Brumbies and Raiders, aims for a 25,000-seat venue near the city center.
The prospect of a new Canberra stadium in the city has been supported by the two biggest teams that would use the venue most and now they hope their fans will get behind it too.
"It's a great opportunity for both the Brumbies and the Raiders to have a venue that is closer to the centre of town," ACT Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham said.
"We need it," Canberra Raiders chief executive Don Furner said.
"We're the nation's capital, and we should have a fantastic city stadium. If it can be done, I think everybody would like it to be the city."
