Billy Walters signed a two-year deal with the Broncos, securing his future amid competition for the No.9 jumper.
The battle for Brisbane's No.9 jumper has intensified with the club's favourite son Billy Walters inking a two-year deal to finish his career at the Broncos.
Walters has agreed to terms until the end of 2028 in another contract coup for the Broncos ahead of Friday night's road trip to face the Raiders in Canberra.
There were fears for Walters' long-time future at Red Hill after premiership rake Cory Paix signed a new deal in March, while rising hookers Cameron Bukowski and Blake Mozer are contracted for next season.
But after going 25 rounds without a contract for next season, Walters finally has security after a Red Hill after an outstanding run of form since his return from a knee reconstruction underlined his value to the Broncos.
Walters is a cult hero with Broncos fans and the 32-year-old has set his sights on staving off Paix, Mozer, Bukowski and Ben Hunt to nail down Brisbane's hotly-contested hooking spot next season.
