Brisbane Broncos hooker Cory Paix is set to re-sign with the club, despite former coach Kevin Walters telling him he was free to leave.
Paix has impressed new coach Michael Maguire and won the starting No.9 position for the 2025 season.
Despite a loss to Canberra, Paix scored a try in the season opener against the Roosters.
His manager, Paul Hogan, confirmed that Paix's preference is to stay with the Broncos, despite interest from other clubs.
