    Following a first round washout, the opening games of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup will kick off this weekend with four thrilling rivaled match ups. 

    Queanbeyan Blues vs Queanbeyan Kangaroos, 3:00pm Saturday at Seiffert Oval

    This weekend's match of the round sees the derby between the Queanbeyan Blues and the Queanbeyan Kangaroos at Seiffert Oval, with the town expected to be buzzing come Saturday afternoon. 

    After struggling last season only claiming three victories, the Blues will be excited about the opportunity to face the defending premiers in their first game of the season.

    Katrina Fanning Shield: Round Two Preview

    2024 Katrina Fanning Shield begins Saturday with Bushrangers vs. Rams in a semi-final rematch.

    The 2024 Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield will commence this Saturday, after a wash out last weekend, with four games set to kick-off Canberra's premier women's tackle competition.

    Tuggeranong Bushrangers v Woden Valley Rams, 10:40am Saturday 13 April at Greenway Oval

    The KFS will be underway with an exciting south-side derby at Greenway Oval, which sees the Woden Valley Rams travel to take on the Tuggeranong Bushrangers in a semi-final rematch from last year. 

    The Bushrangers got a taste of finals heartbreak in 2023, going down to the Blues in the tier two preliminary final.

    If wins and premierships measure success, the Harden Hawkettes will struggle to find an equal in any competition in the ACT or NSW.

    A juggernaut of the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield (GTS) League Tag competition since its inception in 2014, the Hawkettes have qualified for eight of a possible nine Grand Finals, winning five in the process when lifting the trophy in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023.

    Harden capped off another terrific season last year, losing just one regular-season game before defeating the Cootamundra Bullettes 10-nil in a thrilling Grand Final.
