    The Queanbeyan Kangaroos will push to go back-to-back in the Canberra Raiders Cup First Grade following an as good as perfect 2023 campaign.

    In the Katrina Fanning Shield, the Queanbeyan Kangaroos and Bungendore Tigers combine as the Bungendore Kangaroos, providing more depth and competitiveness for the squad in 2024.

    While the Queanbeyan Kangaroos League Tag side look to make big improvements on last year's season. 

    The Roos first grade side lose a few key players from last season, including their strike centres Harry Quinlan and Steven Numambo who now compete in the Queensland Cup.

    The Queanbeyan Blues are set to bounce back with "enthusiasm" following a disappointing season in the Canberra Raiders Cup First Grade. 

    While the Katrina Fanning Shield side look to back up a premiership winning season, and the League Tag side aim to make their mark upon their reintroduction to the competition in 2024. 

    The Blues finished third last in the first grade competition last year, only winning three games and suffering 12 losses.

    Blues player Blake Murray highlighted the positive influence Coach Jeremy Braun has infused into the club and expressed excitement about the emerging young talent within the squad.

    The Gungahlin Bulls aim for a "big turnaround" in First Grade, while they look to go one further than last year in the Katrina Fanning Shield and League Tag. 

    It was a tough season for Gungahlin in the 2023 first grade competition, as they picked up three wins to their 13 losses to finish second to last on the ladder. 

    Bulls player Travis Vawdon is confident his side will have an improved season in 2024. 

    "It's been a big turnaround this year, we've been focusing more on our ball skills and our defence, I think it's going to be a much better year," said Vawdon.
