    Congratulations to Brandon Withers of the West Belconnen Warriors for his selection at wing in the 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.

    Withers once again showcased his significance for the Warriors, which has earnt his selection in the Team of the Year for two consecutive seasons.

    Brandon plays a vital role for the Westies, with most of their points this season coming from his prolific try scoring and his boot.

    In the 12 games he played, Withers scored 12 tries, the most from his side, and kicked 46 goals, racking up a total of 140 points, the second highest points...

    Congratulations to Ryan McQueen of the West Belconnen Warriors for his selection at fullback in the 2023 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.

    Coming off a premiership winning season, the Warriors had another strong year with McQueen leading the side in his second season as captain-coach of the club.

    Despite missing part of the season due to injury, the Westies fullback was instrumental in their top four race, notably their 27-24 round 17 win over Woden and their 26-18 victory against Belconnen United the following week to secure third and a home semifinal.

    Canberra Region Rugby League roll into the Riverina

    The CRRL Wheelchair Rugby League program made a successful three-day road trip to Wagga, partnering with Intereach, to grow the sport in the region. 

    With the help of Intereach, a not-for-profit community organisation that provides support services for children, people with disability and more, we were able to provide Wheelchair Rugby League sessions for Willans Hill School and multiple disability support organisations. 

    On day one, we welcomed two groups from Willans Hill School where participation included not only the kids but also involved teachers and support staff.
