'It hurt us': Raiders make shock team change despite star's meeting with rival

Corey Horsburgh considered leaving, but now starting for Raiders after visiting Broncos and Tigers.

The Canberra Times

Corey Horsburgh might've asked for a release three weeks ago, but that hasn't stopped Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart from bringing the former Queensland Origin player in as a late change.

The Raiders have recalled Horsburgh for just his third game of the season just days after the forward flew to Brisbane to tour the Broncos facilities as he mulls his future. Horsburgh is also set to meet with the Wests Tigers.

The clash against the Panthers on Saturday will be his first NRL game since round five with both suspension and injury ruining his 2024 season.
