Mestrov refutes Stuart's claim of tampering, Fogarty potentially replacing Cherry-Evans at Sea Eagles.
Sea Eagles chief executive Tony Mestrov has poured cold water on Raiders coach Ricky Stuart's suggestion the Manly club had breached the NRL's anti-tampering rules.
That clause in his contract would have allowed the Raiders to retain his services into the 2026 season, but Canberra officials aren't willing to table a long-term deal according to the
SMH.
Following his side's 50-12 victory over the Eels on Sunday, Stuart ended his press conference by speaking on the continuous reports Jamal Fogarty was being targeted by the Sea Eagles.
The experienced halfback is reportedly seen as the club's Daly Cherry-Evans replacement, becoming a free agent on Monday after Canberra powerbrokers failed to activate his option.
