Less than nine months after being crowned minor premiers, the Canberra Raiders have continued to slip down the ladder after another "disappointing" loss over the weekend.
Falling to 16th place (second last) on the ladder, after suffering their tenth loss of the season, the Raiders' chances of making back-to-back finals campaigns are hanging by a thread.
Already past the mid-point of this year's campaign, time is starting to run out as they attempt to revive their season and mount a possible late charge at the back end of the season.
Asked about the club's chance of playing finals football, coach Ricky Stuart delivered a blunt response as they continue to search for answers.
"I don't know," Stuart said post-match after conceding their tenth loss of the season against the Melbourne Storm on Sunday afternoon.

An aerial assault from winger Will Warbrick has seen Melbourne Storm overturn a heavy 16-point deficit to beat Canberra Raiders 42-20 in Cameron Munster's 250th game at AAMI Park on Sunday.
Warbrick owned the skies, a constant threat under halfback Jahrome Hughes's high balls with two of his stunning hat-trick of tries coming through high leaps on the back of powerful runs.
A fifth win in six games has the Storm in striking distance of the top eight, while the Raiders are edging closer to the cliff after a devastating loss.
The game turned on its head in the 20th minute when Storm captain Harry Grant entered the arena.
Backing up from Origin mid-week, the Queensland hooker's minutes were limited to reduce his heavy workload, but his injection into the game had a profound impact.

This year's club record seven-game losing streak appears to be in the rear view mirror for Melbourne with the 42-20 victory, but the Raiders' hopes of making the NRL finals are fading badly after their 10th defeat.
Both teams scored four tries in the first half of their Sunday afternoon clash to be locked at 20-20 at halftime.
