After a six-week layoff due to a PCL injury, Reece Walsh returned to the field determined to make every moment count and to fully embrace his potential in football.

Walsh suffered the injury during the first tackle of his team's Round 7 match against the Warriors. Despite the injury, he played through the game, ultimately confirming the injury through post-match scans. However, upon his return in Round 14, Walsh made an immediate impact in the Broncos' decisive 44-14 victory over the Titans, scoring two tries and assisting on another. This performance propelled the team from 11th place on the ladder to a top-four finish.

In last week's thrilling qualifying final against the Raiders, the Broncos edged closer to the grand final, fueled by newfound confidence in their potential to succeed.

Brisbane lock Pat Carrigan will miss the preliminary final after pleading guilty to a charge.

    The Canberra Times

Brisbane lock Pat Carrigan is out of their preliminary final after the club decided it was not worth the risk to challenge his charge at the judiciary.

The Broncos have taken an early guilty plea for the grade-two dangerous tackle charge, resulting from Carrigan's high shot on Canberra forward Morgan Smithies in the 29-28 win over the Raiders in the qualifying final.

Carrigan, who was sin-binned, will miss Sunday-week's preliminary final at Suncorp Stadium against either Canterbury or Penrith but will be available for the grand final if the Broncos make it through.
