  • Raiders forced into huge reshuffle after shock injuries, two starters still in doubt

    Caden Helmers

The Canberra Raiders face major lineup changes due to injuries, with key players awaiting fitness tests before the Gold Coast match.

    The Canberra Times

The Canberra Raiders' line-up has been forced into a major reshuffle for their clash on the Gold Coast this Saturday and there's every chance late changes could still be coming.

The Green Machine are set to lean on their versatility and depth amid a growing injury ward, as the club still faces a nervous wait on the fitness of two star players for round nine.

Back-rowers Noah Martin (ankles) and Zac Hosking (concussion) joined Josh Papali'i (calf) on the injured list on Tuesday morning, presenting a huge selection headache for coach Ricky Stuart.

The shock announcement also didn't guarantee five-eighth Ethan Strange (ankle) and second-rower Simi Sasagi (hamstring) would be ready to face the Titans this weekend either.

Wests Tigers face injury woes, losing Jahream Bula, Kai Pearce-Paul, and captain Apisai Koroisau to injury and suspension.

The Wests Tigers' amazing start to the season deepens with injuries, with two stars adding their names to a rapidly growing casualty list.

CODE Sports reports that star fullback Jahream Bula has been sidelined for 3-4 weeks with a shoulder injury, adding his name to a growing injury ledger that's rapidly becoming a casualty list.

Bula will also keep Kai Pearce-Paul company on the sidelines this week, with the dynamic second-rower failing his HIA against the Raiders and unable to take the field.

Captain Apisai Koroisau won't be leading his men into battle for the next three weeks either, as he will be serving a suspension after his hip-drop tackle on Canberra Raiders back rower Noah Martin.

  • Two ankle surgeries and a concussion keep Raiders sidelined in major blow

    Caden Helmers

Noah Martin will undergo ankle surgery, while Zac Hosking is sidelined indefinitely due to a concussion, worsening the Raiders' season injuries.

    The Canberra Times

Noah Martin is poised to undergo surgery on both ankles while a concussion will keep Zac Hosking sidelined indefinitely as the Canberra Raiders' season takes a turn for the worst.

Martin will meet with a specialist on Friday to map out a plan for two ankle surgeries after the Raiders back-rower suffered two separate syndesmosis injuries in last week's loss to the Wests Tigers.

Hosking has already been ruled out of a clash with the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday under concussion protocols, with the club confirming he is sidelined indefinitely.

The 29-year-old will be assessed weekly to map out a return to training and games.
