The Gold Coast Titans are set to welcome back Alofiana Khan-Pereira and David Fifita for their upcoming clash against the Cowboys in Townsville after the duo passed fitness tests.

Khan-Pereira, sidelined since Round 2 due to a hamstring strain, will return to the wing, while Fifita, who missed last week's match against the Raiders, is also cleared for play after completing Friday's captain's run without issues.

Titans coach Des Hasler noted, "The side remains unchanged ahead of game day," with Tony Francis and Jacob Alick-Wiencke on the extended bench.

Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui, Allan Fitzgibbon, and Josiah Pahulu were cut from the final squad, expected to play for the Ipswich Jets against Wynnum Manly on Saturday.

The Canberra Raiders are surprising many by reportedly working on re-signing hooker Tom Starling, who has been a key player for the team since joining in 2019.

Starling has played the majority of his NRL games with the Raiders and has proven to be a versatile and valuable asset to coach Ricky Stuart's side.

Despite being originally from the Newcastle Knights, Starling has found a home in Canberra and has seamlessly transitioned into different roles on the field, including in the lock forward position.

Initially, it was expected that Starling would leave the Raiders at the end of his contract in 2025, especially after the signing of Jayden Brailey for 2026 and beyond.

St George Illawarra Dragons coach Shane Flanagan and Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart have both criticized player agents in light of recent contract decisions.

The Bulldogs are reportedly set to sign Finau Latu from the Dragons, while the Sea Eagles are said to have secured Jamal Fogarty from the Raiders.

Stuart expressed frustration at Fogarty's management for canceling a meeting before a game, stating, "I really hope the offer of $700,000 over three years is real." He emphasized the importance of players prioritizing their families when making contract decisions.
