    Ricky Stuart has shed light on the pivotal role of Canberra's leadership group in the development of the Raiders, particularly focusing on captain Joseph Tapine.

    In a recent incident, Tapine took the initiative to inform Stuart's son, Jed, about his NRL debut against the Wests Tigers, showcasing the team's supportive environment.

    With rookie Savelio Tamale sidelined due to a knee injury, the leadership group-nicknamed 'Club 82' after the year the Raiders entered the premiership-convinced Coach Stuart that Jed was prepared to step up.

    Jed, who will celebrate his 24th birthday soon, quickly justified their confidence by scoring a first-half try, contributing to the Raiders' narrow 16-12 victory at Campbelltown.

    Canberra Raiders forwards Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies, along with Wests Tigers outside back Jeral Skelton, have all been charged by the NRL's match review committee for offences during a closely contested Round 16 game on Friday night.

    According to zerotackle.com, the match ended with the Tigers narrowly losing by four points, despite being down 16-0 at halftime.

    Young received a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge for an incident in the first half where he elbowed Tigers forward Alex Twal in the head.

    The elbow resulted in a cut to Twal, similar to a recent incident involving New South Wales winger Zac Lomax and Queensland forward Trent Loiero.
