In the recent Round 14 of the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg, the Canberra Raiders faced South Sydney, achieving a win in the NSW Cup but losing in Jersey Flegg.
The Raiders' NSW Cup team started strong, managing to recover from an early try by South Sydney to lead 20-6 at halftime.
Notably, Jaxon Lavender scored twice in the second half, helping secure a 38-22 victory.
This win positions the Raiders just one point behind the Storm, with the top four teams in the competition all closely matched, separated by only a single point.

Knights coach O'Brien will play exiled half Jackson Hastings due to injuries and Origin impacts.

Knights coach Adam O'Brien will be forced to turn to exiled half Jackson Hastings this week with injuries and State of Origin decimating his spine.
Hastings hasn't played a single NRL game this season and is said to be on the outer at the club, but is expected to be rushed into the halves to partner Jack Cogger.
A number of clubs' depth will be tested this week due to Origin camp but none more so than the Dragons. Despite only having one player selected (Valentine Holmes), coach Shane Flanagan is going to have to dig deep - or potentially do a major reshuffle - to cover the loss.

We sat with the Raiders' most passionate fans. Here's what it was like
Sean Moir enjoyed Lime Milk cartons, wearing a costume at Canberra Stadium during a Raiders game victory.

Canberra Raiders disciple Sean Moir reckons the number of Lime Milk cartons he knocked back would be "in the hundreds".
"I actually didn't mind the flavour," Moir said. "I thought it was good."
Which goes some way to explaining the lime milk carton costume Moir is wearing a few rows back from the fence at Canberra Stadium, where Josh Papali'i is moments away from converting his own try and leaving Ricky Stuart to fight back tears in a 36-12 win over South Sydney.
