He still doesn't want to give up on his NRL dream, but he also doesn't want to get his hopes up at the same time.

Corey Harawira-Naera is reportedly free to explore an NRL return almost two years after he suffered a shock seizure that threatened to end his footballing career.

Harawira-Naera has since gone through a wave of medical tests and his manager, George Mimis, even told him: "If you were my son, I'd tell you to hang them up."

, Harawira-Naera has been informed that all medical, legal or regulatory roadblocks standing in the way of his rugby league rebirth have been cleared.

The 29-year-old last took the field in May 2023, suffering a seizure against the Rabbitohs before it was ultimately deemed impossible to determine the cause of the incident.

The Canberra Raiders have confirmed hooker Tom Starling has re-signed until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

The crafty dummy half has added two years to his tenure in the nation's capital in a move that will overload the club's dummy half stocks.

Starling, the club's current starting dummy half, has played 118 matches for the Raiders since 2019, and played all ten games this year where he has been a critical part of the green machine's march up the ladder despite running into a horror fixture list.
