Canberra Raiders are negotiating a contract extension for hooker Tom Starling ahead of his free agency on November 1.

Hudson Young might be planning a holiday to Papua New Guinea, but the Canberra Raiders are moving to lock in yet another key piece of their squad.
The Raiders are opening talks with hooker Tom Starling in a move to keep him in the capital beyond his current deal.
Starling's contracted to Canberra until the end of next season and is free to talk to other clubs come November 1.
But the Green Machine has added him to the list of contract talks they're juggling.
