Raiders duo offered suspended fine, no ban for Vegas tiff

Canberra teammates Morgan Smithies and Hudson Young have received breach notices from the NRL for brawling in a Las Vegas elevator, but are not facing suspension.
In accordance with rules implemented with the league's latest collective bargaining agreement, the terms of any breach notices are not disclosed until pleas are entered by those cited.
But AAP has been told breach notices issued to Smithies and Young on Monday proposed only a $2500 suspended fine for each player, not a ban or up-front financial penalty.

NRL penalizes Warriors coach for halftime incident
Warriors assistant coach fined $10,000, suspended for 3 matches after grabbing journalist's throat at halftime.

The NRL recently issued a breach notice to Warriors assistant coach Richard Agar following an alleged incident during the club's Round 1 loss to the Canberra Raiders in Las Vegas.
The incident involved journalist John Davidson being grabbed by the throat and verbally abused by Agar as the coaching staff walked through the press box at halftime.
The NRL's breach notice includes a $10,000 fine (half suspended), a three-match suspension for Agar, and a mandate for him to undergo education and training.
Warriors CEO Cameron George expressed disappointment in the assistant coach's actions, stating, "We expect the staff to behave professionally at all times." George also confirmed that the club will work closely with the NRL to address the issue and support Agar through the process.

Maybe it's a good thing Michael Maguire isn't the NSW coach anymore, because if Corey Horsburgh returns to the Origin stage with Queensland, he'd probably know exactly how to beat the Blues.
Horsburgh revealed that the Canberra Raiders went into their round two clash against the Brisbane Broncos with a clear game-plan on how to break down the opposition attack thanks for Maguire's time in the capital between 2022-23 as an assistant coach.
"Our game plan, outplayed their game plan. We had Madge [Maguire] last year, and we kind of knew his defensive structures and how they like to defend," Horsburgh said.
