    Ricky Stuart has turned up the heat on Maroons coach Billy Slater to tell raging Raiders prop Corey Horsburgh why he can't get a spot in Queensland's battling Origin team.

    Horsburgh has again been overlooked for selection in Wednesday's second game of the series in Perth despite being in red-hot touch for high-flying Canberra this season.

    A reformed Horsburgh has played a key role in Canberra's surge to the NRL's top two in a fearsome middle forwards trio with ex-Maroons enforcer Josh Papalii and Kiwis star Joe Tapine.

    The wife of Raiders' Josh Papali'i attacked two players, expressing disgust and acknowledging wrongdoing after charges.

    The wife of a Canberra Raiders legend said she was "disgusted" and "definitely in the wrong" after she allegedly attacked two female rugby league players on a football field, including one who was 17.

    Mesepa Salesa, the wife of Raiders' prop Josh Papali'i, was charged over the incident in July 2024, which began after the 17-year-old was sent off the playing field at the Kippax Raiders Club in Holt.

    Week of many milestones for the Raiders

    Josh Papalii, Matt Timoko, and Corey Horsburgh celebrated career milestones, with Timoko reaching 100 Raiders games.

    Josh Papalii wasn't the only Canberra Raiders player celebrating a career milestone this past week.

    Centre Matt Timoko reached 100 games for the Raiders while prop Corey Horsburgh celebrated 100 NRL games - 98 with Canberra and two with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

    Timoko debuted for the Raiders in August 2020 with a home game against the Bulldogs.

    When CD asked coach Ricky Stuart about the milestones at the post-match press conference on 8 June, he praised Timoko.
