Wests Tigers lost to the Panthers but welcomed player returns during their bye week ahead of Round 16.

After suffering their fourth consecutive loss over the weekend to the Penrith Panthers, the Wests Tigers have received some positive news as they enter the bye this week.

With Latu Fainu (thumb) and Jeral Skelton (hamstring) making their returns back to the field against the Panthers, coach Benji Marshall confirmed that Alex Twal (concussion) and Fonua Pole (knee) will be available for selection for their next match against the Canberra Raiders in Round 16.

Raiders lead NRL after defeating Rabbitohs; Broncos triumph over Titans with Reece Walsh's return.

It was another action-packed weekend of NRL as the Raiders went to the top of the table after thumping the Rabbitohs in Josh Papalii's milestone match.

The Broncos bounced back in emphatic fashion as Reece Walsh returned and they beat Queensland rivals the Titans.

Sam Walker returned safely from ACL injury, playing 40 minutes in NSWRL game against Parramatta.

Sydney Roosters halfback Sam Walker made a successful - and safe - return to rugby league on Sunday.

After a 10-month recovery from an ACL injury, Walker, 22, returned in the Roosters' NSWRL game against Parramatta at Kellyville Park.

Walker played 40 minutes before being replaced by young Toby Rodwell.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson will now decide whether to rush Walker back into his starting side for Saturday's away match against Newcastle.

Walker has not played since last September after rupturing an ACL in his left knee during a match against Canberra.
