  • Raiders climb to second spot after stunning Warriors

    Canberra defeated the Warriors 16-10 in New Zealand, showcasing their NRL premiership credentials despite player sin-binnings.

    Canberra have underlined their NRL premiership credentials by becoming the first team to defeat the Warriors in New Zealand this season with a gritty 16-10 win. 

    In a spiteful game played at a rain-soaked GoMedia Stadium, the Raiders (9-3) leapfrogged the Warriors into second spot on the NRL ladder after surviving a late onslaught from the Kiwi side.  

    The Raiders had two players - Corey Horsburgh and Tom Starling - sent to the sin bin on Sunday but stood tall in Auckland to add the Warriors to their list of 2025 scalps, which also includes Melbourne and Cronulla.

    Joseph Tapine mocked Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad for being emotional after being penalized for a tackle.

    Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad has been mocked for being a cry baby by Raiders skipper Joseph Tapine after the latter was penalised for a crusher tackle.

    Tapine was placed on report in the 14th minute after he wrapped his arm around the chin of Warriors gun Nicoll-Klokstad to bring him to the ground with heavy force.

    Adam Gee was quick to alert the Warriors that they would be given a penalty due to the foul act, however, no marching orders were given.
