The Canberra Raiders are planning a last-ditch effort to keep veteran halfback Jamal Fogarty with coach Ricky Stuart revealing that the Raiders are in the process of renegotiating a one-year contract to keep him at the club.

Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty is reportedly set to sign with the Sea Eagles, with negotiations between the club and his management to ramp up after Round 6.

The Sea Eagles are reportedly set to offer the 31-year-old a two-year deal to take over the No.7 jersey from departing veteran Daly Cherry-Evans.
