Ethan Strange has offered Ricky Stuart a timely glimpse of Canberra's future, starring in the halves as the Raiders completed a 50-12 trouncing of Parramatta in Darwin.

On a night when Hudson Young scored a double for the Raiders, Strange was close to Canberra's best with a hand in three other tries in Saturday night's win.

Canberra extends Fogarty's contract by one year, hoping to beat out a potential longer offer from Manly.

Canberra will offer Jamal Fogarty a one-year extension, with Ricky Stuart hopeful he can stave off the threat of an anticipated longer deal for the halfback at Manly.

Fresh off Canberra's big 50-12 win over Parramatta on Saturday, Stuart will fly to the Gold Coast this week to meet with Fogarty's management around a deal for next season.

With Canberra initially holding the rights to extend Fogarty's current deal into 2026, Stuart will let the deadline for that option lapse before negotiating a new contract.

Raiders awarded penalty try after Eels player deemed to impede run of Canberra player.

The Raiders have been awarded a contentious penalty try, with Eels winger Josh Addo-Carr deemed to have impeded the run of Xavier Savage who was steaming after a grubber kick.

Referee Wyatt Raymond had other ideas, highlighting a potential professional foul from the Parramatta veteran and Bunker official Grant Atkins agreed.

Canberra fullback Kaeo Weekes kicked for his winger 64th minute, with Addo-Carr turning and reaching his arm out, which struck his opposite man during his run towards the ball.
