    Raiders duo Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies have been handed a breach notice over their hotel incident before the NRL season opener in Las Vegas.

    The pair made headlines in Sin City just days out from Canberra's round one clash with the Warriors, after they were involved in a scuffle at the team hotel.

    While both men have played in their two games to date, the NRL have now revealed both Young and Smithies have been breached for bringing the game into disrepute.

    Jayden Brailey leaves Knights after 2025 season for Canberra Raiders, his third NRL club.

    Knights hooker Jayden Brailey has confirmed he will depart the club after the 2025 campaign, bringing to an end a six-year stint with Newcastle.

    Brailey will join the Canberra Raiders on a two-year deal commencing ahead of the 2026 season.

    It will be the 28-year-old's third NRL club, after playing 69 games for his debut side Cronulla across 2017-19 and 63 for Newcastle since 2020.

    As much as the Raiders looked like a much improved team on the weekend, the same could not be said for Canberra Stadium, with bad smells and internet issues again causing havoc and highlighting the need for a new and improved venue.

    It was just last year that Raiders coach Ricky Stuart attracted national attention to the poor state of the ageing stadium when he expressed his dismay - and embarrassment - at the foul odour emitted near the player change rooms at an NRL game.

    Nearly to the day 12 months ago, it was the Wests Tigers that had the pleasure of that experience, but on Saturday night, it was the Brisbane Broncos' turn.
