    The Canberra Raiders were swiftly brought back down to earth after their incredible upset over the Brisbane Broncos, as an unfortunate injury setback hit a star member of their squad.

    Versatile second-rower Zac Hosking is set to be sidelined after the club revealed he suffered a hand injury against the Broncos.

    "Hosking has a suspected broken hand and will meet with a specialist on Monday to determine if the injury will require surgery and how long he will be on the sideline," the Raiders said in a statement.

    Australian rugby league fans outside of Canberra may not have been familiar with Matty Nicholson's game before Saturday night.

    After 80 minutes, two tries, two linebreaks, and 33 tackles, they certainly know now.

    The 21-year-old Englishman can expect a few more Instagram followers, media requests and high fives around Canberra in the coming weeks after that blistering NRL debut performance, but he's keeping his head firmly on his shoulders amidst the hype.
