    Ethan Strange and Kaeo Weekes were the match-winners in a blockbuster Mudgee fixture after combining for the Raiders in the "most remarkable finish to a golden point game".

    With the score 16-16 in golden point, Nathan Cleary had a 35 metre attempt at a field goal but hit the post.

    The ball then fell to Jed Stuart with Izack Tago and Liam Martin missing their tackle on him. He fled five metres from the line and linked up with Strange.

    The Penrith Panthers are taking another home game to country NSW as they host the ladder leading Canberra Raiders from Glen Willow Regional Stadium in Mudgee in what shapes to be one of the clashes of the regular season.

    The last time Penrith went to a regional venue; it was when the club was at an all-time low (in terms of regular season results over this dynasty) with an embarrassing 25-6 loss to lowly Newcastle in Bathurst. Since then, a switch has seemingly been flicked to turn the tables around on what was a lowly season to be competing for a top four spot. The unheralded left edge of Casey McLean and Tom Jenkins has emerged as one of the bright spots this season, while their forward pack has risen to the challenge along with a return to from of Dylan Edwards and Nathan Cleary.
