    Roosters v Raiders preview

Sydney Roosters dominating, angus Crichton shines, aiming for top two finish and high-scoring games.

Things have just been marching on for the Sydney Roosters after another points fest against a bottom nine team. The tri-colours now are in the box seat for a top two finish and a possible home final in the first week.

Coming straight from a 1980s horror film Angus Crichton scored a hat-trick in the win and just gives the Roosters another attacking weapon (as if they needed one). They will look to pile on the points in their last two fixtures to send a message to their competition.

There were sixty points in the first meeting between these two sides so if the weather remains fair this will be another high scorer. That should mean a lot of fun for the Roosters backline for those gambling inclined.

'Staggered': Raiders, Brumbies respond to new $2 billion stadium costs

ACT sports teams concerned over $1.34-$1.869 billion price tag for new stadium at Bruce.

    The Canberra Times

The Canberra Raiders and ACT Brumbies will seek clarity on the future of a new stadium in the capital after the ACT government's latest cost estimates revealed a price tag of between $1.34-$1.869 billion for the preferred option.

Brumbies chief executive Phil Thomson conceded he was "staggered" by the new figures while rugby league counterpart Don Furner said the price increase was at odds with other stadiums around the country.

The government says the baseline cost of building a new stadium somewhere on a 25 hectare site at Bruce will cost between $303-$511 million if it sticks to its timeline to have it complete by the early 2030s.
